Effluent quality is continuously monitored through automatic measurement of effluent quality if, as in the case of system upset, effluent is outside of prescribed parameters, the system continues to process until effluent of acceptable quality is produced. Treated water is then either pumped directly overboard, or pumped to onboard ship storage tanks for eventual discharge ( i.e. ship operations in no discharge zones).

All Navalis Orion^® Systems are fully automated using an Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). The PLC is equipped with modem or ethernet internet connectivity for reach-back monitoring of off ship system performance. This enables Navalis specialists to ensure continued reliable service of the system and predict and trouble shoot operational issues.

The arrangement allows for easy access to areas requiring routine maintenance.
